The walls are closing in

And sometimes it feels so hard

To look inside and know yourself;

To live in fear, of what you truly are.

So who are you?

And what's to come?

You've fallen down down down.

But you're not the only one.

Cause I can hear it calling ( Oh Oh )

Cause I can hear it calling ( Oh Oh )

So can you hear it calling? ( Oh Oh )

It's your life

The pain you feel, is difficult I know

But within your soul, there's beauty to behold

Like a rose so sweet, weathered by a storm

Through the tears of life, we drown before we're born

And even though, you've come undone

Around the bend waits your future

Through bravery, you'll finally feel so free

    • lol I've been using that same preset for about 5 years lol

  • Ooo I luv me some EBM

  • Love the drums. Nice and punchy

  • I wish I was more into synthpop, but I do like the effects on your vocals! do you have any basic tips on utilizing the ATDAW tool set for making effective vocal edits and/or ensuring effective vocal sample use/placement?

    • Awesome! thank you very much for taking the time to offer your advice! I agree with most of what you said, although it would be nice to see AT get better in terms of what you feel it is lacking. I'm sure being a good producer means being versatile in many different softwares, for many different reasons, but I'd love to be able to go all the way with Audiotool one day. C'est la vie!

I learned the definition of sibilance today. Thanks for that :)

Best of luck in your future projects!

    • If you are a good singer, and have a good microphone and preamp, you will be able to use very little processing to a get a good result.

    • My tip is not to use Audiotool. Audiotool works well for beats and backing tracks, but for wave and vocal editing, it's not very good. I never use probe, it's more for really basic recordings and edits.

I normally use lots of things like compressor vsts, character eqs, distortions. Plus I suck so I need to comp from about 20 takes. Doing things like moving word timing around, automating volumes to reduce sibilance, recording/stacking harmonies and doubles.

  • love it
